Eligibility: Open to residents of Victoria aged 18 and over. Employees of MarvelX Research and their immediate families are not eligible.
How to enter: Complete the Melton Community Voice Survey and verify your email. No purchase or payment is required to enter.
Entry period: 30 days (AEDT).
One entry per person. Duplicate or unverified entries will be excluded.
Prize: One $250 Coles gift voucher. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash and is not dependent on survey answers.
Draw: A random draw will be conducted online
Winner notification: The winner will be contacted by email within [1] days of the draw, and the voucher provided within 5 days.
Privacy: Email addresses are collected to verify entries and contact the winner. Survey responses are reported only in anonymised, aggregated form.
Governing conditions: This promotion is conducted in accordance with the Victorian Gambling Regulation Act 2003.

1. About this policy
MarvelX Research ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information gathered through our community research, including the Melton Community Voice Survey and any associated prize draw. 3. What information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information — your email address, used to verify your response and, if you are the prize winner, to contact you.
- Demographic information — your suburb, age group, gender and country of birth.
- Survey responses — your views on local issues, community safety, and how you intend to vote. Some of this, such as your political opinions, is treated as sensitive information under the Privacy Act.
- Participation information — any referral code you enter, whether you choose to join the Melton Voice Panel, and technical details (such as device or IP information) that may be collected automatically by our survey platform.
4. Sensitive information and your consent
Some survey questions ask about your political opinions, which are sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect this information only with your consent, which you give by choosing to answer those questions and submitting the survey. You may skip any question you prefer not to answer (where it is not marked required), and you may choose not to submit the survey at all.
5. How we collect your information
We collect information directly from you when you complete our online survey. Our surveys are hosted on JotForm, a third-party online form platform. We do not knowingly collect information about you from other sources for this research.
6. Why we collect your information and how we use it
We use your information to:
- conduct community and social research into local issues and political sentiment;
- produce research reports and analysis, which present results only in aggregated, de-identified form;
- administer the prize draw, including verifying entries and contacting the winner;
- where you have opted in, invite you to take part in future surveys as a member of the Melton Voice Panel.
We do not sell your personal information. Any research findings shared with third parties, including clients, are provided in aggregated, de-identified form and do not identify individual respondents.
7. Disclosure to third parties
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers who help us operate the survey and prize draw (for example, our survey platform, JotForm);
- any person or body where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
8. Overseas disclosure
Our survey platform and some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where information is disclosed or stored overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
9. Direct marketing and the Melton Voice Panel
If you opt in to the Melton Voice Panel, we will use your email address to invite you to take part in future surveys. You can unsubscribe at any time by [insert method, e.g. clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or emailing us], and every invitation will include an unsubscribe option. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
10. Data security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We retain prize-draw entry records for three years, as required for trade promotions conducted in Victoria. 11. Access and correction
